Parnitha National Park: Open Meeting on Human-Wolf Coexistence
An open meeting on the topic of "Improving Human-Wolf Coexistence in Parnitha National Park" was successfully held on November 6, 2023, organized by the Management Body of Parnitha National Park and the Management Body of Schinias-Marathon, Hymettus & Southeastern Attica (NECCA), in collaboration with the environmental organization Callisto. The event took place at Acharnes Town Hall and was part of the European project LIFE WILD WOLF.

Launch of the "Coexistence Platform"
As part of the LIFE WILD WOLF project, a new consultation body called the "Coexistence Platform" will be established to minimize conflicts between human activities and wolves in Parnitha. The platform will:
Act in an advisory role to support decision-making processes.
Include representatives from social partners, services, and stakeholders related to wolf presence in the area.
Begin its sessions in March 2024, with meetings planned twice a year to address key issues related to human-wolf coexistence and project actions.
